AA Fisheries and Aquaculture Consultancy, (AAFAC) will lead aquaculture training. During the first two years, the pilot stage, AAFAC will provide intensive training for the ACIK “Core Team” made up of the program founders. Afterward, the Core Team will provide hands-on training and extension services under the supervision of AAFAC.
capable
Capable is a Ugandan-led nonprofit organization built to eradicate poverty through locally developed programs in Northern Uganda. Capable has extensive experience helping small farmers lift themselves out of poverty. It focuses on strengthening families and organizing into groups so as to make agriculture production more economical. It provides training in basic literacy, financial literacy, business management, and a variety of life skills. It will provide ACIK business-mentorship, coaching for strengthening families, and tools for measuring community revitalization.
kaberamaido technical institute
Kaberamaido Technical Institute (KTI) operates under the department of Technical Vocational Education Training and Operations Management (TVETOM) in the Ugandan Ministry of Education and Sports. It is located 4 km to the south of Kaberamaido Town on a 58-acre piece of land close to the location of the ACIK farm at Okile Landing Site. KTI will provide infrastructure, faculty, and government certification for the aquaculture training program.
